First off just going to say I know I didn’t post my predictions, but just most of the fights that you had a chance at calling ended up going the way I thought, mainly the Jon Jones fight. I mean I know I’m going to get a lot of ish for this, but I’m sorry Jones won in my opinion. Was Domnik game and better then I even thought yes; and did he make Jon Jones actually look beatable (Excluding the first Gustafsson fight after how the second fight went) but definitely. I get why people are saying he won. But I keep getting told I’m wrong but I always thought years ago it was usually a big thing that you had to beat the champion convincingly enough to take the belt, let alone the GOAT of light-heavyweight mma if not more. I saw the weight ins and I dont know why I just saw it going to be some kind of decision where Jon wins. I was actually more excited about the Shevchenko fight because of it. But it did a lot of good in some ways for both fighters and the division. It’s a new era, like I look at it as Anderson Silva was the 2000s decade( like 2000-2011) GOAT and now you have someone like Jon Jones who’s achieved some of the same records etc… But now we have the 2020 decade and all of the fighters coming up and on their way to the top are both well rounded and are all amazing fighters. Especially with the women’s division still being pretty empty in the UFC but you already see people who were born after UFC 1 or 1993 getting into the competition and they are talented and trained more in Mixed Martial Arts from a younger age instead of just being a wrestler and then learning the rest of the arts as you go. I mean Jon Jones is an amazing fighter and definitely the GOAT but his last couple fights are showing me that either age is getting to him or hes more into doing whatever he can to continue his legacy. I mean for example he doesnt seem as aggressive or creative as he was before. But it happens to every fighter at around their early 30s; but you got to remember Jones been already fighting for over a decade of his life and before that was an all state championship wrestler so his whole life hes basically been fighting or learning what you called call a martial art. Hes also gifted with genetics let alone the reach. Having two Superbowl superstars especially Julio Jones as brothers, I mean they definitely got the genetics. That’s one main thing I think Jon still has to continue on for a few more years because he is not only extremely talented and a true Martial artist and is an actual talented at striking, grappling, muy tai, kickboxing, AN ALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP Wrestler etc…, hes still genetically gifted to the point where I believe he can keep the legacy moving forward for a couple more years. At any weight he has the longer reach and his build kind of more tall and lanky and you add in the now 14 UFC Championship matches where he won every single one, and he has been around so long in the sport now he seems to be comfortable and doesn’t atleast seem to me that hes uncomfortable or nervous in that octagon similar to Conor McGregor with how he is in almost like a zen state of mind and ready to go, but Jon has just been around a lot longer and fought so many HOFs and future HOFers so he actually seems sometimes too calm lately. I just remember his first couple fights even as champion; he ran fight through them, he did really beat Cormier who I have been watching fight since StrikeForce and called that would one day be champion in the UFC as well as Tyrone Woodley. To be honest a lot people from StrikeForce did and are doing amazing. But I ever forget the watching it live the night Daniel Cormier knocked Bigfoot Silva with a crazy I think I was just a crazy punch that he put all his power into his right hand and it may have been hook I cant remember, but me and couple buddies where going crazy. I mean I was already willing to bet money on a few people from Strikeforce just becoming Champions and some even have or became legends in their own ways, Tim (#StraightUpBMFTrue Champ ($ #TrueBMFChamp) Kennedy ( for example. An american hero in my eyes. But beating Cormier by knock out that second fight truly showed how talented and gifted he is with crazy power that I mean Daniel’s fought some GOATs and legends himself and @Jonnnybones made him look like they were on two different levels in that second fight. I’ll be honest since that fight hes seemed to mature as a person and a Fighter and I’m not just saying because he probably has said it. But I am starting to see that creativity and a some of that spark missing from his older fights. Not that he hasn’t not improved technique etc wise it’s more the mentality difference maybe.bI mean to be honest it Daniel were to have that rematch to win( which to be honest after this last fight I dont think I could predict a winner if the fight was mabye a few months away) he would have a win over in my opinion atleast the two GOATs from the 2000s to the present.
Jon Bones Jones @JonnyBones The GOAT Especially in the light heavyweight division.
Anderson “The Spider” Silva The Legendary GOAT. Just watch a few of Silvas highlights if you want to argue that he didnt own that title for very long time. Even beating former Light Heavyweight Champions like Forrest Griffin etc… He still is imo the GOAT Middleweight Champion. That’s actually why I liked the Israel fight because it did truly feel like he was passing his torch to the 2020 Middleweight New Gen King and hes also built more like a lanky fighter then somebody whose just a monster like Roel Romero. To be honest I give @stylebender Israel so much respect for calling out Romero, let alone the fact that he shouldn’t be calling for fights as Champ like that after his crazy win, but that bull Romero is got to be just the I’ll be honest hes just a scary dude who’s built like a tank and it’s like his muscles have muscles including having that huge head to go with it. I was shocked for that call out but I’m definitely excited to see what he can do, I mean he has already proved as well as Silva has that the tall lanky dudes can take on anybody. That’s something I liked about Anderson Silva on top of his style was he was just fighting anybody including going up a weight class where he would be fighting heavyweights when he prob walks around or did at somewhere in the.190s or 200 Ibs (Example Jon Jones,Dominick Reyes etc… haha) and most of these light heavyweights balloon up after weight ins. I mean I was actually confused and shocked to see Anderson Silva in the octagon ;last minute replacement too; fighting Daniel Cormier and even at his Age he was still able to go the full fight with him and had his moments. Again I’m saying this mainly because the younger Silva; just watch Rich Franklin 1 & 2 and Chris Lebon ( A legend, who even said Silva hit him the hardest in his career) and I hope some of you remember him and understand how bit of a deal that is from Lebon to say Silva hit him the hardest in crazy Career in the UFC. I mean it’s the style, the way when he wanted/wants to he can end fights with ease on the feet and the ground and the fighters he fought who were bigger or stronger, or mabye was said to be able to take him out, he still went on to win. Mabye not all his fights were the best to watch. But when he went out their with his mind just set on getting a finish he did it. I mean I know a lot of people seem to think this is bs; but the Chael Shonnen first fight where he I still think has the latest stoppage in fight off all time at the very list in the Middleweight division, Anderson made it clear that he was only going to win their first fight by submission no matter what after Chael said something about his trainers and friends the Nogueiras and their form or training in BJJ saying it was bad and something along those lines where he pretty much said the black belt in BJJ was worthless and again Silva pulled out something historical with that triangle choke at end of the fourth having been losing pretty much the whole fight (I’ll be honest was going crazy watching it) and he again does something that no one saw coming let alone Chael Shonnen. Who let me add just fought as a heavyweight in Belator, Anderson is still a Middleweight but has some light heavyweight wins on his belt but definitely could not cut it at heavyweight atleast in my opinion. I mean he is already and probably heavier but I can’t see him getting bigger than like 220 and still being fit to go 5 tough rounds. And no I do not believe that Chris Weidman dethroned the GOAT Anderson Silva, he just fought him at a time where age had caught up to him and the normal speed just was not there let alone the second fight was bs (you can say it was a checked kick all you want I think I was just age) and Weidman was there at the perfect time I mean you beat a legend 2 times by literally being given a free win from Silvas own kick and the present of a hands down punch to the face at perfect distance against a much slower reacting and older fighter who you could see was already slowing down and he gave someone with power I completely free shot with his feet not even in a good stance. I’m sorry I just dont give you those wins except for having my respect for even fighting Silva and he will always have that W on his record. I still think it was bs, if cant tell I’m salty Haha. I think i cried the first fight tbh, mabye haha. And again I think younger Silva would have finished off Bisping in their fight 100 percent:even though Michael Bisping is on my list of my favorite fighters and yes he deserved to become a Champion I mean I’d been watching him for years fighting the best in the world and winning their was just always that fight to Silva but yeah did eventually get it. But I’m sorry had Silva went in and just threw one punch or a couple punches the ref would have stopped the fight instead of him starting to celebrate ( btw I was really confused watching this) the win and the ref having to stop him and say the fights still on knowing he just had a huge adrenaline jump to come down from after thinking it was a KO and this is post bs Wiedmen fights which still I think Silva could had another two year with that belt atleast But ok sorry for the rant. But wat I’m trying to say is this new generation is a bunch of completely rounded young fighters who have so much tap that the old crew of top tier have that they could probably find a strategy along the way just to look for and take advantage of, which is why I still give guys like Silva and Jones so much respect and continue to say how great I believe they are as fighters and the positive changes to the UFC and the MMA world as a whole, something I also say about Conor @TheNotorius McGregor and why he is also one of my favorite fighters not just to watch fight but all of the positivity, new fans, and money that he is helped to bring to the fighters and the MMA World and community. As well as I obviously am pretty biased because I like the fighters who are aggressive and have great technical striking and counters. Which in a way is something Anderson Silva has always will have just he has less speed and a slower reaction time than he has had in the past. But that comes with age and the insane amount of years hes been fighting let alone Pride and the UFC and all the fights he had before he made it to the main stage of the MMA world and took it over. Ok my rants over just saying after this right Jon Jones is on my GOAT list but I’m more looking forward to how he looks his next fight after this
